SHOPPING AT THE AMERICAN FILM MARKET
The American Film Market (AFM) was held November 1st through the 7th in Santa Monica. While primarily a convention geared towards sales agents and distributors wheeling and dealing with foreign buyers and market representatives, we took the Devil's Grove promotional film there in an effort to beginning generating interest.
Clearly distribution is a key, if not the key, component in the success of our film and while the vast majority of the sales and production companies asked us to return when we had a completed film, there was a good number of them who expressed an interest in coming onboard sooner to assist in both the funding of the production and its eventual release and marketing.
In short, the project was very well received.
We will spend the next few weeks following up, but as we put together the investment offer and begin soliciting funds, we have nothing but the highest expectations that we will be partnering with an established production company backed by a strong and experienced sales division very soon.
